Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli is making her debut in the glamorous high society, Parisian Le Bal des Débutantes ball.
It is a fashion event held annually that brings together 25 girls aged between 16 to 22 from different countries. Described by Forbes as one of the world’s 10 hottest parties, the ball features girls aged between 16 and 22 years, who belong to prestigious or aristocratic families from around the globe. The girls turn up in customised couture ensembles and take on the dance floor with their fathers and do a waltz.

Before Navya, three Indian girls had the honour to make their debut at the Parisian ball. Princess Adishree Singh, from the royal family of Jammu & Kashmir made her debut in 2009. Other famous Indian debutantes include Leana Mallya (daughter of Vijay Mallya in 2011) and Mukesh Ambani's daughter Isha Ambani in 2012.
Now, Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter, who is currently studying in London, will grace the event on 28 November. Navya, who currently studies in London, was photographed last month doing her fittings at the Christian Dior headquarters in Paris, accompanied by her mother. “I’m going to be taking some dance lessons, so that my dancing is up to the mark. Also, I will be going to the fittings to make sure that my dresses are fine. I’ll also be practising walking in heels, because that’s unusual for me. I shall be walking around my bedroom in heels, trying to make sure I don’t fall over,” Navya was seen as saying in a preview video "I have never done anything like this before so I'm very very nervous but very excited," she said.

Apart from being the granddaughter of the Bachchans, Navya is also the great granddaughter of Raj Kapoor. She is the daughter of Shweta Nanda and industrialist Nikhil Nanda.
When asked whether her grandfather Amitabh Bachchan will be present on Navya's big night, Shweta said, "He's so busy. He's doing so many things, but they are the apples of his eye, his grandchildren, so we hope he'll be able to make it and to see her in this way. It's a first for all of us and we're all very excited."
After this big fashion event, will Navya think of stepping into the modelling world like her aunt Aishwarya Rai Bachchan? Only time can tell, but if it happens, the Bachchan princess will mesmerise millions with her beauty.
