After investigation, it was found that he suffered from pneumonia. Pran's daughter Pinky speaking to Mumbai Mirror said that her father was now stable and is doing fine. Though still weak, the 92-year-old actor was seen walking around the corridors of Mumbai's Lilavati hospital even as rumours about his death flooded social media. “My father is feeling much better. He just needs to get a bit stronger, which is why he is still in the hospital. He is talking, his memory is super, his chest congestion has almost cleared,” daughter Pinky Bhalla has said.
