Ahana first met Vaibhav Vora at the wedding of her sister Esha Deol to Bharat Takhtani. Vaibhav is a good-looking, decent guy from a well-heeled business family from Gurgaon. Dharamendra had first seen Vaibhav at Esha's wedding and suggested Ahana to start meeting him. His matchmaking was perfect as not only did Ahana and Vaibhav found themselves compatible, they also fell in love. He asked her out for a vacation in Istanbul. It was there he popped the question to her, she accepted.
