Salman Khan To Launch Aditya Panscholi's Son Sooraj With Suniel Shetty's Daughter Athiya in The Remake of Subhash Ghai's Hero

In the never-ending turf war between kids from film families and rank outsiders, there are fresh reinforcements for the former every day.

Joining the ranks of Alia Bhatts and Arjun Kapoors of the industry are two new faces - Sooraj-Aditya-Panscholi and Athiya-Suniel-Shetty. The two kids will make their debut in the official remake of Jackie Shroff's 1983 blockbuster, Hero. Director Subhash Ghai has sold the remake rights to Salman Khan and the development marks an end to the speculation over 18-year-old Athiya's launch vehicle.

While it is not clear who will direct the project, Mirror has learnt that Ghai, who has an ear for music, has been requested to score for the film. If that works out, it will be a milestone in the filmmaker's long and eventful career. According to a source close to the developments, "Salman has requested Subhashji to help with the music. He has always been a fan of his musical hits Karz, Karma and Khalnayak."

As for the kids, Athiya was in New York last year where she studied filmmaking and liberal arts at the New York Film Academy. Reportedly, she was even one of the hot contenders for Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti, starring Jackie Shroff's son Tiger.

Sooraj has been training in dance and martial arts. He assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Hrithik-Aishwarya starrer Guzaarish and Kabir Khan in Salman-Katrina starrer Ek Tha Tiger. According to reports, that is where he caught Salman's attention.

The film is likely to go on floors by the end of this year. Subhash Ghai remained unavailable for comment.

Ever since twins Isha Ambani and Akash Ambani left for Yale and Brown respectively for their studies, it hasn’t been the easiest of times for their parents Mukesh and Nita Ambani. All the years of keeping in touch through Skype and stealing quick trips to meet the children are now coming to an end with the twins ready to return home later this month.

Of the two Mukesh Ambani's daughter Isha, who will be majoring in psychology and South Asian studies, has had a rather eventful stint — she was even elected the president of South Asian Society at the Ivy League school. With her convocation ceremony on May 20 followed by brother Akash Ambani’s on May 24 (where we hear Ben Affleck will be awarded an honorary doctorate), it’s going to be a big family union and we can well imagine how excited Mukesh, Nita and their younger son Anant Ambani are about their week long trip to the US. With the IPL final scheduled for May 26 and the Mumbai Indians one of the favourites to get there, there are chances we’ll finally get to see all the Ambani children together on the ground to cheer for their team.

The mother-son duo spell style with Shilpa having lost 22-kilos post-pregnancy and in the best possible shape  less than a year after Viaan’s birth.

Both Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her baby-boy Viaan are wearing a white attire. While Shilpa Shetty looks graceful flaunting her midriff in the classy outfit, Viaan steals the attention in a crisp white jacket paired with denims. And of course the adorable looking shoes!

In the magazine, Shilpa Shetty recalls how she almost became a subject of ridicule for some because she weighed 83kgs months after Viaan’s birth.

“Now imagine when you’ve had an image as a fitness icon -- pompous as it may sound -- and you walk around 83 kilos, the pressure to lose weight is tremendous. You know there have been film song lyrics like Shilpa sa figure Bebo si ada, etc. People were sneering behind my back, challenging me to ever go back to who I was. People can be very, very mean about such things… particularly if you want to head back into the limelight. Just look at the way they were hounding Ash! But c’mon, stars are human too!” Shilpa Shetty tells Hello!.

Shilpa also revealed that it was her mom who prodded her into losing weight.

“I was painfully aware that a pregnancy after 35 was going to be a very different experience from what my mum might have known. And strangely, it was my mum who started nagging me five months after Viaan was born. She said, ‘I got back into shape six months after having you!’ And I reminded her she was just 23 when she had me!” Shilpa laughed.
