It is said that Karan's younger brother Rajvir is also interested in a Bollywood career and Sunny has earlier confessed in an interview that both his sons are keen on getting into films. They will be continuing the legacy of a family of actors - grandfather Dharmendra, step-grandmother Hema Malini, father Sunny, uncle Bobby and aunt Esha.

Sunny has big plans to launch Karan's acting career in 2013, as the year also marks 30 years of his career in Bollywood. Sunny Deol recently told a leading Mumbai Daily, “Karan’s debut will be sometime next year. As of now, I want him to learn all the essentials required for being a good actor. We will be launching him, but whether I will be directing him, I’m really uncertain. Considering we are still looking at scripts and everything is in its nascent stage. But one thing is certain that it will be a love story. That’s the way I, Bobby and Abhay debuted in Bollywood.”

Earlier there were rumors that Karan Might Debut With a Sequel To His Dads Debut Film Betaab which was directed by Rahul Rawail. Karan Deol has also had acting and filmmaking lessons from Rahul Rawail.
