Thirty years on, Jackie Shroff will now witness his son Tiger making his much-anticipated debut in Sajid Nadiadwala's film titled Heropanti. And we can't miss the striking resemblance of the titles.

This news comes after many months of speculation over whether it would be Aamir Khan or Subhash Ghai who would launch Jackie Shroff's son. Looks like Sajid Nadiaidwala finally taken over. The film will be directed by Sabbir Khan.

Sabbir Khan (of Kambakth Ishq fame), who will be directing Tiger's debut film confirmed the news. He said, "Yes, the title is Heropanti and the title came from the character of the boy that Tiger plays. In normal life, we all follow the set norms and rules. We do not move out of the box but Tiger is someone who is flamboyant and does what he wants to."
"Tiger's character in the film will be of a boy who lives life on his own terms. He doesn't want to and does not follow the set norms that have been laid down. He believes in living a life that is not just ordinary, so he is a little above the ordinary, hence the title Heropanti. Essentially, Heropanti is a romantic action film that despite being an intense love story is also high on action."
"Right now we have almost finished scripting the film and are just getting something in place for the shoot, which we will start hopefully in a month or so. Post that, we will get into the music of the film and shooting the heavier side. As for the locations that we will be shooting in, we will mostly be shooting in North India," informs Sabbir.
When quizzed about the lead actress of the film, Sabbir says, "We haven't yet locked on the lead actress. In fact the entire team here is working on that with auditions and speaking to people; right now though the mindset is to rope in a fresh face."
What's ironic is that Jackie Shroff started his Bollywood career in 1982 with Hero, while Tiger will be taking it a step forward with Heropanti.
Sabbir Khan added, "The fact is that he is Jaggudada's son and we could not have got a more apt title. It was a title that Sajidbhai and I came up with. We are finalising the female lead and will start the film next month."
