Anil Kapoor's Son Harshvardhan Kapoor Practices Horse Riding and Archery For Debut Film Mirziyaa

Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan Kapoor is making his grand debut in Rakeysh Omprakhash Mehra’s film Mirziyaan. Sonam Kapoor’s young brother Harshvardhan is preparing for the role of Mirza in Mirziyaan which was previously named 'Mirza Sahibaan'.

Harshvardhan is training hard for the movie, which is based on an epic folklore, the love story of Mirza and Sahibaa. Since Mirza was a warrior, Harshvardhan too is honing his skills in horse riding and archery. He is undergoing grueling horse-riding practices to get into the skin of the character.

Harshvardhan Kapoor has previously assisted Anurag Kashyap on Bombay Velvet and was chosen by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for his dream project Mirza Sahibaan.

Harshvardhan, also fondly called Harsh, has studied screenplay writing and acting in the US. Mehra needed a new boy as Mirza and Harshvardhan fitted the bill. “We needed a fresh face and I liked Harsh, as he has the fierce intensity of a lover in him, combined with an innocent softness in his eyes,” the director is quoted as saying.

The movie Mirziyaan will also feature another newcomer. Mehra has finalized model Saiyami Kher for the role of Sahibaan.
It is also reported that Shashi Kapoor’s Son Kunal Kapoor has been roped in to play the role of ‘Baade Maharaj’ in the film.
